Iodine deficiency is an epidemic. In the 1970s, bromine was substituted for iodine in bakery products. Bromine is known to bind to the breast, the prostate and the thyroid in place of iodine. Iodine is one of the cheapest, easiest, and effective supplements we know of. Dr Brownstein recommends 12 to 60 milligrams per day, using either Lugols iodine solution or Iodoral supplements. Malignant tumor cells have only 3% of the iodine that normal cells have.
